For those of you that subscribe to or purchase Scrapbooking Creations magazine you may have recently seen our staff member Larissa in the Hot Tips section. I thought it was a great tip and thought I’d share it with you.
If you can’t find the right colour flowers to match your layout, try colouring them yourself. Coloursprays or Glimmer Mist are perfect for this. If you want a strong colour, set up a spray booth using a pizza box and simply spray them from a distance. If you want a more subtle colour, try diluting the colourspray with a little water in a container and immersing the flower until it changes colour, then set it aside to dry. Once the flower is dry you could even dip the flower’s edges in undiluted colourspray for a two-tone effect.

Everyone here at MTL would love to welcome Teneale Williams to our scrapbooking family.
Teneale is an extremely accomplished card maker, she has been working in the industry for about 8 years now and has had numerous projects published in For Keeps, Stamping and Papercraft, Scrapbooking Memories and Scrapbooking Creations magazines. Teneale has also taught classes at various craft shows, expos and retreats over the years so we feel very fortunate to have her working with us.
Teneale will be teaching at the store on the 4th Saturday of each month, alternating between card classes and off the page projects. The first class will be held on 27th March and will be a card class using the new La Di Da Kaisercraft paper. So pop in and have a look at her great work

I bet that heading got your attention. It’s true, for the whole of the month of March, we will not be charging any Class Fees, all you will pay for is your class kit. That’s a saving of $15 per class, what a great excuse to book into a few classes and save money.
Make sure you head to the class calender on our web site to see what classes are available.

It’s once again time to start thinking about our annual scrapbooking retreat. As in the last couple of years we will be heading back to Tahmoor to the Kiah Ridge Conference centre on the weekend of 6th to 8th August. We have decided to return to Kiah Ridge as the staff there are very accommodating, the scrap room in enormous and well lit, just like us scrappers want.
After last years retreat we had people lining up to put their name on the list and pay their deposit ready for this year, and within weeks of us getting back all places were full. However, if you haven’t already managed to get a place, there is a waiting list we can place you on.
For all you ladies who have already put your name on the list, it is now time to pay your deposit. So keep an eye on your mail box as we will be sending out information in the next week or two regarding this years retreat, including price, classes and accommodation.
If you want to put your name on the waiting list or have any questions just give us a call or pop in and see us.

We all know what it’s like, we buy a Versa Cube, use it for that project, put it away for safe keeping or toss it in our tote for later use. Several projects later we need that colour again, we know its somewhere amongst our stash, but where?
We have a great solution for you, try a fishing box. Yes, you read it right, a fishing box, you can pick these up from somewhere like Kmart or Big W for just a few dollars, depending on the size. Anne-Marie has all her Versa Cubes, labelled on the side with the colour then stood up in the box, all for easy access. When you open the lid, its easy to read which colour is which and if you’re off to a crop night or scrapping at a friends house, the container is easy to pick up and take with you.
Let’s face it, every scrapper is always on the look out for a great storage solution and we think this one is a winner.

Yet another two ranges from Kaisercrafts Q3 collection have now arrived in store and are out on the shelves.
The first new range is La-Di-Da a bright and colourful collection, full of pinks, purples and greens. Both the papers and embellishments in this range are full of pretty flowers and birds, great to use on all those real girly photos.
The second collection is called Devonshire. This collection is full of beautiful muted papers in oranges, blues and browns. With the embellishment packs full of lace, pearls and swirls it would make a beautiful paper to use in any heritage album. I know the minute I saw it, I just had to use it on a photo of my kids with their Great Grandmother, now I just need the time to do it.
We also have a few new wooden products out from Kaisercraft, so don’t forget to have a look at those when next in store. But remember, as usual any new Kaiser products seem to just walk out the door, so don’t leave it too long.

So why not get out those photos of your special someone and come and spend some ‘Me Time’ completing one of our eye catching layouts.

When you are next in the store make sure you take a look at our new Bazzill range - Dotted Swiss.
This beautiful new range is Bazzill that has been embossed with tiny dots. This tiny polka dot pattern is embossed into the back side of some fantastic new colours, making it prefect to use where you would usually use plain bazzill and best of all it’s still the same low price that the original Bazzill is, making it great value. In all we have 13 new colours.
