For all you Scrappers  with Foxtel, the new series of Scrap It TV airs Thursday night 15th July on Aurora Channel 183 at 7.30pm. Check your guide for starting time and set your recorders girls.

Watch out for Anne-Marie,  Larissa and Design Team Member Sherry, all of the girls will be doing a project each during Series 3, with this series being Larissa’a debut!

Psst – Don’t tell Anne-Marie but while she is away on holidays Riss and I are going to sell off all the Daisy D Modern Romance papers for 50c each or 80c for the cardstock weight.

Hurry in as she will be back early next week.

If you had been thinking of coming along to our retreat but hadn’t been able to secure a spot, then luck is with you.

We have today had two spots become available, so it will be first in best dressed.  Please note that if you want these two spots a $50 deposit will need to be paid immediately and the remaining $120 paid by 15th July.

Our retreat is at Kiah Ridge on 6th, 7th and 8th August and will include all meals from supper on Friday to lunch on Sunday.  Plenty of time to scrap, gossip and enjoy yourself.  It is group accommodation, but all rooms have their own bathroom.

Well it’s that time of the year again. School Holidays. We have created 2 beautiful projects to keep those crafty kids busy for a couple of hours. There is a Canvas Class in which they paint and decorate a canvas, running on the Tues 13th July and Thursday 15th July and on the Wed 14th July and Fri 16th July they can… make a beautiful Banner to hang in their room with their name on it or even the footy team they support. All classes include a McDonalds Happy Meal and begin at 11 am.

This Saturday Sally Wilson, owner and designer of Deslish Designs will be teaching at our store.

If you want to know the secret of creating 12″ layouts in a timely and elegant fashion then this class is a must for you. You will be creating 4 x 12″ layouts whilst learning how to create the latest paper flowers, swamping the USA and paper crafters alike.  You will also get a sneak peek of Sally’s  winter collections.

Sally has very generously donated some giveaways for during the class and special goodie bags for those who make purchases after the class.

You might have noticed in recent months that MTL is playing host to a different Guest Teacher each month.  This gives you a chance to do classes with a new teacher and learn new and exciting techniques from them.

Below is a list of teachers booked for the next few months:-

July 17th – Ree Roffey – Create a beautiful layout using Collection products

July 31st – Sherry Mendoza from Scrapbooking Memories – a Twiddleybitz Dates 2 Remember wall hanging

Sept 11th – Rachel Grieg from Darkroom Door – learn new and exciting techniques using her new stamp ranges

These classes have limited places, so if you are interested don’t forget to book in early.

Copic Markers are the newest pens on the market for the stamping and scrapbooking world.

The class is running on Wednesday 16th June at 7pm and Saturday 3rd July at 10.30am.  The kit Fee is $60 and  includes: 3 copic markers, 1 colourless blender pen, multiliner, spica pen, memento ink pad, mister and paper.

MTL is once again gearing up for its Annual Retreat at Kiah Ridge Tahmoor, it’s being held on  the weekend of August 6th, 7th and 8th, and promises to be loads of fun.

The response to the Retreat has been huge and as such we currently only have two more spots available.  The cost is $170, which includes bunk style accommodation, all meals including supper on Friday through to lunch on Sunday, goodie bags, fun games and prizes and loads and loads of scrapping time.

So if you are interest in snagging one of the few spots left, give us a call or pop into the store.  There is a $50 non refundable deposit required at the time of booking.
