Something exciting is happening in store next week. Scrap It TV is coming in and filming several segments. Anne will be doing two to three different projects which will be filmed and then shown on Foxtel’s Scrap It TV show – showing on the Aurora Channel. We currently don’t have exact screening dates (sometime in August 2009), but watch this space and we’ll update you when we know.
This month we are trying something new with our monthly scrap challenge. Instead of buying a pack which includes papers and embellishments, you will be purchasing a sketch pack.
In the pack will be a sketch of a layout and a $10 shop voucher. You are then free to go and purchase which ever papers and embellishments you like to the value of $10. Then let your imagination run wild. It will be exciting to see how different everyone’s pages turn out all using the same sketch.
Good luck ladies, I’m sure it will be fun picking your papers and a bit of a challenge deciding how to use them with your sketch. Don’t forget ladies your layouts need to be back by 20th May.
Hi my name is Christine and I’ll be running the blog for Memories That Last. I’m married to Graeme and we have three children, Elizabeth 7, Mitchell 5 and Harrison 16 months. While they keep me busy they are also an endless source of great photos for scrapping. I’ve been scrapping for about 8 years and have worked at Memories That Last for Anne Marie and Stuart for the last 2 1/2 years. I’ve recently given up working during the week due to having Harrison so I’m going to try and devote some of that spare time to the blog. I still work at the shop on weekends so if you are in don’t forget to say hello.
Through our blog we are going to be giving you up to date info on classes, new ideas for storage, let you know the latest fads and what is ” hot” and “now” for your scrapbooking pages. We will also let you know what exciting new products will be available in store in the near future and what special events the shop is hoping to have.

MTL is having its annual weekend retreat. Its back at Tahmoor and this year your time is all yours. After last years feedback we have decided to try something new, there will be no classes so you have the whole weekend to work on all those projects that remain unfinished or those ones you need done in time for Christmas. MTL Retreat 2008
Ikea has endless storage ideas for scrapbookers looking to make their scrap space more efficient. I’ve attached photos of two of my favourites storage ideas from the Ikea kitchen range. I store my small and medium flowers and buttons in spice jars and hang all my rub-ons and chipboard off these utensile rails. Both items were inexpensive and get my supplies up off my desk allowing me to spread out the pages or projects I’m working on.
