Kids Classes

We have all been there, it’s the second week of the school holidays and all you are hearing is “I’m bored”.  Well you are in luck, we still have some vacancies in our kids classes for this week.  All our kids classes are $20 per child and this includes all materials and a McDonalds Happy Meal, and they run from 11am to 1pm, just enough time for mum  to go and grab a coffee while the kids have fun creating a page layout or tag album.  So if you’re looking for something to keep them entertained bring them along, a full list of the classes is on the web site or give us a call for further information.

Sketches

Sketchscrap2 There are times in our Scrapbooking lives when we just draw a complete blank.  No matter how hard we try, we just can’t find inspiration in any of our papers or embellishments and creating a page is almost impossible. When these times occur, I find a great source of inspiration is Sketch books.  They provide endless ideas and can be adapted in countless different ways, just using the one sketch  you can complete maybe 2 or 3 different pages. Just remember the sketch doesn’t necessarily need to be completed as you see it, it can be used as a base idea to be built on to complete something simple or something very elaborate.  Sketches can be twisted and turned to best suit your style or photo type, and just because the sketch has a flourish marked on it you can use any embellishment, you can even change photo sizes. This great sketch is from the book – Scrapbook Page Maps – by Becky Fleck and the sketch was completed by MTL  staff member Larissa.  If you have any questions about this sketch or about sketches in general, drop us a line and we will be more than happy to give you some help.
